Peter Schoonmaker, President

Peter Schoonmaker is founding Board President of Illahee. He has worked with numerous conservation organizations, community groups, government agencies, and natural resource businesses to craft mutually beneficial forest, fisheries, and watershed partnerships in the Pacific Northwest. He earned a Ph.D. in biology from Harvard University. Previously, he developed a web-based conservation information system and news service, assessed the status of salmon for western North America, and coordinated several watershed assessments. Peter recently accepted an academic position at the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) as chair of the Collaborative Design program. Erin Brasell, Program Director

Erin came on board in January of 2010 to run the Illahee Lectures. Erin has worked for several architectural and historic preservation firms. She holds a Bachelors degree in Architectural Studies from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, and a Masters in American Studies from George Washington University. Erin is currently enrolled in Portland State University's graduate program in Public Administration and Sustainability.

Kendall Murphy, Program Associate

Having managed the Illahee Lectures in 2009, Kendall now leads our current project to update our information systems.  Kendall has worked for the Oregon Community Foundation, currently is a development associate for the Portland Zoo Foundation, and is a co-founder of the LevĂ© Foundation. Kendall holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology from University of Colorado.
