Peter Schoonmaker, President
Peter Schoonmaker is founding Board President of Illahee. He has worked with numerous conservation
organizations, community groups, government agencies, and natural resource
businesses to craft mutually beneficial forest, fisheries, and watershed
partnerships in the Pacific Northwest. He earned a Ph.D. in biology from Harvard University. Previously, he developed a web-based conservation information system and
news service, assessed the status of salmon for western North America, and
coordinated several watershed assessments. Peter recently accepted an academic position at the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) as chair of the Collaborative Design program. For more information on PNCA and Illahee's collaboration, click here.

Erin Brasell, Program Director
Erin came on board in January of 2010 to run the Illahee Lectures while completing graduate coursework at Portland State University in Public Administration and Sustainability. Erin worked for several years as an architectural historian and preservation planner and holds a Bachelors degree in Architectural Studies from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, and a Masters in American Studies from George Washington University.
